This weekend, I went to the canoe trip as a part of the event of the international club.

About 30 people went to the trip, many of them are from Japan, but others from Korea, Nepal, China, and also the United States.

First of all, we rode on a bus, and headed somewhere near Cedar Rapids, it took about 1 hour. Then, arrived at the accommodations. We changed clothes, and left bags there, soon went to the river by bus again.

After getting to the riverside, we made the group for 2 or 3 students, and then, finished checking in. We got on the canoe.

The river was comparatively wide, but quite shallow. We ran aground many times. Not only that, we turned over at the very beginning of the canoeing. It was entirely unexpected incident (and somehow it occurred at relatively deep part).

Weather condition was good, clear sky, temperature was also comfortable. There are many people enjoyed canoe besides us. But it took so long time, 2 or 3 hours. We gradually got bored and, in addition, felt so tired that stopped paddling at last. When I looked up the sky, birds were flying, there are scattered clouds. Dense forest was also beautiful. Time passed so slowly.

Finally, we arrived at the destination. All of us were tired, then, went back to the accommodations.

Afterwards, I played cards with some friends, took shower, and had dinner. Then, played cards again, it was so fun. Also played Monopoly.
We talked a lot, of course in English even with the Japanese students. Only to playing cards, there were various people, it was multinational. English was the common language. It was exciting. But, regrettably, I couldn窶冲 have much conversation, I thought I had to work more to improve English. Anyway, it was fruitful weekend, I enjoyed much.
