This weekend is homecoming. Tonight we the Coe College Concert Choir had a concert. It started 7pm at Sinclair Auditorium. This concert was one of the goals of the class, and I was really looking forward to this concert. Not only did we perform, but also other groups such as Women窶冱 Chorale, Collage, Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Symphony Orchestra Strings played. The hall was full of audiences, and most of them seemed to be graduates.

We performed four songs; two Spanish songs, one Latin song, and one spiritual. These songs were not easy to learn. Especially I am not good at reading music. As I talked before in this diary, the professor gave Ken and me private lessons once a week. These lessons enabled us to keep up with the classes. It was so helpful.

It was very regrettable that I made some mistakes, but overall we were able to perform well. Other groups also did good job. The performance of collage was attractive, jazz band played nice songs. The 2 hour passed so quickly.

At the finale, all of the performers gathered on the stage, and played three songs together. It was really great, impressive experience. Singers sang powerful. Orchestra and band played so well. Audiences were standing, and applauded.

One of the songs which we performed together was the college song. Waseda窶冱 college song is well-known in Japan, and I once loved it, of course, still I like it. Coe窶冱 college song is also good. The title is 窶廬 want to go back to Coe again.窶� Music is cheerful, words are amusing. This song will remind graduates of their student life.

The concert choir is one of the classes, but given some chances to perform officially. Today was the one of the chances. We are going to have two more concerts in this year. Learning music is never to be easy for me. But the specific goal strengthens my motivation. I am really glad to take this course, and I want to work more.
