Today, I went to the club meeting, the club is “Coe Alliance”. That club is one of the clubs that deals with issues of gender and sexuality. They have an educational purpose.

There are about 20 students and a faculty advisor.

It was friendly, familiar atmosphere, each member looks like feel comfortable.

First, we had self-introduction, and then, we talked about what we are going to do through this year. There are several big events such as gay day, conference, shows…etc.
We are going to meet once a week.

It is a big difference. In my club, at home, we had meeting or conference at least, at least twice a week. We made disparate effort to keep new members staying in our club such as making contact frequently, inviting parties, lunches, and dinners many times, sometimes going to trip or camp, and of course, we have study conference a lot.

The important point is how to make them feel satisfaction or enjoyment. So that we have lots of various activities.

On the other hand, alliance members are going to meet only once a week. It is partly because Coe is a small college, so we have a lot of chances to see each other, yet it is less opportunity to see, I think, although we will have some big events. It seemed that we are not going to have any study conferences.

However, good atmosphere attracted me much. I want to have a good relationship with them more, get to know more each other. I am looking forward to taking part in all of these events.
