 Multicultural Fair.

Today, we Japanese students attended the Multicultural fair at Mount Mercy College, located nearby Coe. This fair is held annually and every year Japanese students join in from Coe. The fair was very international and multicultural; many students from overseas such as Czech, Italy, India, Greek, Japan, and United States.

We introduced some Japanese representative culture; Yukata, Onigiri, Calligraphy, and Origami. I was in the Origami booth. We made cranes, jumping-frogs, stars, boxes, and ball. All of these are pretty familiar for us. I have no idea if the Origami is Japanese original culture. But many people from many other countries looked interested in our booth. Especially, complicated ball, it was made of 12 pieces of Origami parts, was really popular among both children and adults. We made tens of those balls. I also had some quick orders; I made many jumping-frogs right after the order. It was kind of hard, but really fun.

After all, we were comparatively busy whole the time. But Calligraphy seemed to be the busiest. Although there were 5 or 6 students who write Chinese Character, more people came than the expectation and made long line to get their Kanji-name. I got my Hiragana name. It is really good. That will be my name tag on the door.
