Note. This diary is so long. This is a just summary of the presidential debate. It will be not so interesting. If you have enough time, please read it.

The last presidential debate took place at the Arizona state university today. I watched two presidential debates and one vice-presidential debate so far, these all were really interesting. The followings are the summary of the third presidential debate. Both were the same red ties. Today窶冱 main topic was about the domestic issues.

The first question was about the international affairs. The moderator asked the Democratic nominee if the world could be safer than now. He answered yes, and added that the current administration made 窶彭eadly窶� mistakes about Afghanistan war. He pressed that the president couldn窶冲 find Osama Bin Laden, and pointed out that the administration outsourced the jobs which should have been supplied by the American. On the other hand, the president Bush refuted that argument, and affirmed it was exaggeration. He made desperate efforts, and used comprehensive strategies to win the war. These discussions were not new experience for me at all. They just repeated the same opinion as they insisted on at the former debates.

The next question was comparatively late problem; flu vaccine. I don窶冲 know about that problem in detail, but the president looked confusing as well, answered something after a silence. The Massachusetts Senator affirmed that it is the proof of the wrong health care system. He said it doesn窶冲 work well; great many people lost health insurance under the Bush administration. He added he has a much better plan to secure the insurance. The president opposed that John Kerry窶冱 statement was a just complaint, and criticized that his plan will not work well.

Next, they talked about the economic security. The question was; if the government doesn窶冲 raise tax, the price goes up, then, how to keep the stability of the price. Senator Kerry affirmed he can do it exactly, he mentioned the job-loss. According to his argue, 1 billion jobs were lost, and he will do 窶忖naffordable窶� tax-cut. He said he will fight for American workers. On the contrast, the president Bush said the Senator voted 98 times to raise tax quoting the voting record. He accused the Senator窶冱 plan that will reduce the deficit. He, at first talked about the jobs, but gradually changed the topic to the education. I doubt if he is a good speaker.

Then, the moderator asked the president if the homosexual is the choice. The president answered he doesn窶冲 know, but said every person has a dignity to protect. He mentioned the marriage, and said it should be between men and women, the amendment will define the marriage. But the Massachusetts Senator stated it is not choice, and mentioned the vice president窶冱 daughter. I think it was good strategy, because the attitudes against the issue are rather different between Bush and Cheney. He also believes that the marriage should be between men and women, but he said it is not necessary to revise the constitution.

The next topic was the abortion that bothered both at the last debate. Senator Kerry said he would respect the choice to have an abortion, but disagree it, because he grew up as a catholic. But he said he will support women窶冱 choice. The president Bush seemed to hesitate to answer, but said at last, to protect the child窶冱 life, and to avoid the abortion, it has to have an alternative way. According to him, it is to promote the hospitality. I don窶冲 think it will be the alternative. Abortion should be the choice, and never to be banned. The cause of the abortion will be the economical reason; it would be the disadvantage to have an 窶忖nexpected窶� child, so to support mother economically will be the solution.

Then, they discussed the health care system. Senator Kerry explained his plan. He said his plan is simple, and people just choose it, and the plan will cover every child, give good enough for all. He stated it will work well, not poor plan, emphasized that the government doesn窶冲 force the plan. But the president quoted a report that analyzes the Kerry窶冱 plan, and said it will cost 1.9 million. He said it will be poor quality, and it is much better to continue the current plan for next four years.

Next topic was the ban of weapons. The president didn窶冲 sign the revision, because it terrifies the civil life by the crimes. On the other hand, the Senator supports the 2nd amendment, and said if people could buy the guns easily, it would be less safe. It would not cause good result.

The moderator asked about the affirmative action. Senator Kerry said there is still discrimination against gender or race. President Bush said he made an aggressive effort to educate people, and spent many budget to make many children learn.

The last question was a kind of funny question; what learned from your wife. President answered that to listen to the people, and to stand up for the aim. The Senator learned that to keep him honest.

In the closing statement, John Kerry said in this election we are going to be tested how we will be able to unite each other more. Americans are needed stronger leader ship, and to create jobs, guarantee the health care for all, and realize the equality. 窶弩e can do better,窶� he added. 窶彜tronger at home, respected in the world,窶� he conclude. George. W. Bush said he wants to continue next four years to make health care more affordable, pursue the enemy, and make peaceful world, hopeful America.

According to some recent polls, the approval rate is mostly even. They are having a really good race. It is still difficult to predict the result. I strongly hope the Democrats to win the election, but the situation is more complicated, there is no question who would win at last. It makes me really exciting.
