Today, I went to the Polk elementary school. I visit there every Thursday during this term. Today窶冱 visit was the second time of this year. Last week I saw the students almost after the one-month absence, but, happily enough for me, they all remembered me. Some of them asked me to cuddle. That made me smile.

Thursday is the club day. Students belong to various clubs and each club has an activity about one hour. I today joined in the art club and made posters for the 窶弃olk Spirit Day.窶�

I was surprised at students窶� creative thinking. At the beginning of the club, the teacher gave them some instructions, and after that, students started to drawing pictures on the paper. They seemed to try to do anything that they thought they can do. Unlike mine, their posters were full of un-stereotypical figures. They didn窶冲 take the structure or some other elements into account at all; but that makes picture outstandingly great. I also made some posters but mine was less attractive. In addition, occasionally some of them helped me.

After the club, we had a reading time. Each student took their favorite books and started to read by themselves. I listened to their readings. But one student, Kobi, asked me to read. I actually hesitated about it since I worried about my pronunciation. But at last I did it. He sometimes corrected my pronunciation. It might look kind of strange, but I enjoyed reading.

At the end of the today窶冱 class, our teacher Ms. Tory got angry since the student didn窶冲 listen to her attention and her class became the last class to get on the school bus. Today was actually worse, so noisy than usual. I felt it in the same way. But I love the students. Some times they are naughty, but the other time they are so nice and smart. It is one of my favorite times that I have once a week.
