 Halloween.

Today, our teacher invited our class to her house to have a dinner and to see the Halloween. It was for the first time for me to see the actual Halloween. I remember one scene deals with the Halloween in the movie E.T. Most of the readers does know this movie and remember the scene. But today, I saw many kids disguised as scary (but lovely) costumes. It was like a movie. It was really interesting experience.

Kids came to the house as the movie described and asked 窶徼rick or treat窶? We gave candies children. Some children took many candies, so that at last just one candy was left in the bowl. Many children came, some were with their parents. They all were really cute.

My teacher strongly supports Democrats, so that she carved the letters 窶廳erry窶 in pumpkin窶冱 mouth. That was really funny.

For dinner, we had Sushi, Japanese rice with curry, salad, and pumpkin pies for dessert. These dishes were really good. These reminded me of Japanese food that I have missed for a long time. We talked about classes, homework, election, Japanese food, whatever. We had really good time.

The origin of Halloween is surprisingly not well-known. I asked American friends many times, but nobody answered accurately. I also don窶冲 know well about that. It seemed to be one of the "funny" events through the year especially for children. They looked like really enjoying the Halooween. We don't have this kind of event in Japan, it was a sort of envious for me.
