 Private lesson: Choir class.

Today, Ken and I had a private lesson for choir class. Classes have passed for 2 weeks, but it is still difficult to read the music and vocalizing. Prof. Falk made us lessons in his office hour.

The lesson was about 1 hour. He taught us so kindly. When I couldn窶冲 sing at all, he politely told me how to sing again and again. We practiced 3 songs. My skill improved steadily.

It was amazing that one instructor spare 1 hour for 2 students. At Waseda, it might not be impossible to have such lesson although we don窶冲 have music department. There are too many students. On the other hand, here at Coe, 1 teacher will have 12 students on the average. It is not difficult for teacher to memorize every student. Actually, almost every professor has already known my name and face, therefore, it enables them to teach more carefully. This is a great advantage.

We will have some concerts during this term. When I think about it, I窶冦 getting excited.
